Fence & Deck Installation in Plymouth

Our home town, and the largest municipality in Massachusetts by land area, running from the harbor deep inland.

Plymouth is where we are based, at 131 Samoset Street, and it is where most of our work happens. It is also the largest town in Massachusetts by area, which means the conditions vary enormously. A harbor-front property downtown, a cottage at White Horse Beach, a wooded lot out near Myles Standish State Forest and a newer build in Cedarville are four genuinely different jobs.

That range is the argument for measuring on site rather than quoting off a map. Coastal Plymouth gets salt and wind and wants vinyl or coated aluminum. Inland Plymouth, out toward Long Pond and the forest, is sandy, wooded and much kinder to cedar. We know this town well enough to tell you which one you are in before we arrive.

What we plan for in Plymouth

  • The town covers an enormous area with sharply different coastal and inland conditions across it.
  • Sandy, glacial soil through much of Plymouth affects footing volume on both fences and decks.
  • Harbor and beach-front properties take direct salt, which rules out untreated steel hardware.
  • Being local means shorter lead times and easier follow-up here than anywhere else we work.

Permits in Plymouth

Coastal properties can carry constraints beyond ordinary residential zoning, including conservation jurisdiction near marsh, bank and wetland, and in some areas flood-zone considerations. Fence height rules are set locally and we will not state a number we have not checked for your address. Confirm with the Town of Plymouth Building Department before ordering material. Attached decks almost always require a permit and an inspection.

Fencing and decks in Plymouth: your questions

You are based in Plymouth. Does that mean faster service here?

Generally yes. We are at 131 Samoset Street, so Plymouth jobs involve no travel time, which usually means more scheduling flexibility and easier follow-up if anything needs adjusting later. It is also the town where we have done the most work, so we tend to already know what a given neighborhood throws at a fence.

Does coastal or inland Plymouth need different fencing?

Genuinely different. A Manomet or White Horse Beach property takes salt and wind, which pushes toward vinyl and powder-coated aluminum with coated hardware. A wooded lot out past Long Pond has neither problem and cedar becomes a sensible choice. Same town, different specification, which is why we walk the property first.

Which parts of Plymouth do you cover?

All of it. That includes Downtown Plymouth, North Plymouth, Manomet, White Horse Beach and the rest of the town, across ZIP 02360. Plymouth sits inside our 35 mile radius from Plymouth, along with the rest of Plymouth County.

What does a fence or deck cost in Plymouth?

It depends on material, linear footage, height, terrain and how many gates you need, and on a typical lot here the run length is the main driver. Most of our residential projects land between $1,500 and $12,000. Estimates are free, quoted line by line, with no hidden fees.

Do I need a permit in Plymouth?

Quite possibly, and the requirements are set locally rather than statewide. Attached decks almost always need a permit and an inspection, and fences above a certain height often do. Confirm with the Town of Plymouth Building Department before you order material. We build to whatever they approve and will flag at the estimate what your project is likely to need.

I was very impressed with the level of professionalism this company offers. Very polished from start to finish. I was kept up to date with everything that was going on during the project. Any questions I had were answered promptly. The fence installation was done in a timely manner. My home looks very beautiful outside because of the fence enhancement. The installation charges were very fair.
